Oh my gosh, this is such a TUNE! I’ve had it for a little while and play it a lot- in my car, driving through Mitcham is particularly enjoyable I find. Perhaps it resonnates round there cos Boy 8 Bit is a 27 year old producer from south london- I’ve been checking out a fair bit of his stuff on Trouble and Bass and Mad Decent and he’s making some pretty out there sounds- all on fruity loops too, apparently.
Fog Bank is a tasteful melding of dancehall, drum and bass and uk garage ryhtmns, mixed with hoover noises and “yeah! whoo!” samples, on a bed of crispy, chassis-rumbling bass.
